We seek to appoint two cover supervisors to join our cover team from September 2018. Cover Supervisors work under the guidance of the Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Department to deliver class work to students in the absence of their classroom teacher. Applicants should have some experience of working with children and experience of working within a secondary school environment or in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential. Full training and inductions will be given to the successful candidate.

We seek to appoint a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our support team from September 2018, working two days per week. This highly skilled team provides support and intervention strategies to meet the needs of SEN students and those with other barriers to learning at Howden School. Work will be a combination of in-class support and the teaching of individual students through indirect teacher-led programmes. Teaching assistants are attached to subject areas and will be directed during that time by the Head of Department (or designated member of staff).
