Research shows that after school education and clubs can improve the academic skills of our children. This shows that schools should offer a more academic range of clubs for children’s educational learning as well as fun clubs such as cooking and textiles clubs, which can improve which creative skills. Howden School offers a range of different after school clubs, such as Scouts, which can help teach children’s life skills. Howden also has a homework club which students find helpful. I interviewed a student who went to homework club and they said, “I like homework club because you can look back on the mistakes you made and somebody is there to help you understand.” This shows that homework club and many other clubs can interest and educate student. All my evidence shows that after schools are important for students so we need to make sure that they continue.
